She knew he was humoring her about this whole thing. Not that he didn't take it seriously as something that meant something to her, but more that he could do without it and if he was willing to marry her because she wanted to be and he could be that dedicated to make her happy, she felt like that was a good reason. If he wanted to be married to her because she wanted to be married to him, that sounded about right.
They were walking along, hand in hand when he asked about the ring. She smiled up at him, "I like princess cut diamonds, but it depends on what strikes me. Something pretty." The idea that she was getting a ring was exciting enough for her that she couldn't really think about what kind of ring.
